Aims
Promoting evidence-based policy and practice in career work...
The National Guidance Research Forum was recently formed to unify the approach to research in information, advice and guidance.
There are two strands:
- A Strategic Group - led by the Guidance Council and the National Institute for Careers Education and Counselling (NICEC)
- A web forum, led by the Institute for Employment Research (IER), University of Warwick, and the Centre for Guidance Studies, University of Derby, in partnership with the Institute for Career Guidance (ICG), NICEC and the Guidance Council.
The web forum brings together the various facets of guidance research and practice into a single community space and features areas devoted to effective guidance, future labour-market trends and the National Library Resource for Guidance.
The Future Trends section of the website provides a portal to information and data on future trends for the careers research community - and a whole lot more: it’s about using future trends data to support reflection, knowledge creation and the development of the guidance community.
