SIGOSEE meeting in Barcelona

The next meeting of the SIGOSEE project is in Barcelona on 1 and 2 November. The first day will be given over to developments in the Special Interest Group and the second day will feature a public seminar on Open Content and Open Source. The meeting is being held together with the JOIN project and the Sixth Framework UNFOLD project, which is developintg a community around the Learning Design Standard. As always everone is welcome to the meeting.

Raymond Elferink, Dai Griffiths and Sara Zondergeld have created an article called: 'Comparing Software Development Models: Structural Problems in the Cathedral and Bazaar metaphors.' It is a first product of the Working group on Organisation and management issues, sustainability and support infrastuctural needs for OSS.

Graham Attwell has produced an extensive study on the Sustainability of e-learning. Produced in conjunction with the Lefo project, which is associated with Sigossee, the paper explores Open Source and Open Content as part of an overall strategy for the sustainability of e-learning.
